Maintenance Program Manager

Responsibilities
Providing technical expertise, contractual oversight, and program management for a wide array of areas supporting facilities maintenance and utility operations
Managing and optimizing preventive and/or predictive maintenance programs
Tracking and planning deferred maintenance initiatives
Ensuring compliance with safety objectives and regulatory requirements
Developing scopes of work
Overseeing service contracts and managing outside vendors to streamline service delivery across building categories including (but not limited to) roofing, fire suppression systems, elevators, HVAC, and pest control
Supporting development of facility and utility operations-related procedures and best practices
Providing technical recommendations for UAF design standards
Facilitating construction drawing reviews
Coordinating walk-throughs with project managers and maintenance staff during project turnover
Coordinating closely with the CMMS administrator and directors to optimize the department’s preventive maintenance program and utilization of the CMMS system
Maintaining collegial, harmonious working relationships with others
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education
At least four years experience in facilities maintenance, facility operations, utilities or facility services procurement
Preferred
Experience in higher education facility operations, maintenance, or utilities
Experience in vendor and contract management
Familiarity with FAMIS, UA's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
Familiarity with Workday
