TVAC Engineer

EVONA is seeking a TVAC Engineer to own vibration and thermal vacuum testing for spaceflight hardware. In this role, you will drive test campaigns from planning through execution and reporting, ensuring hardware is ready for launch and on-orbit environments.

Responsibilities

Plan and execute vibration and TVAC tests for components, subsystems, and integrated spacecraft
Set up and operate shakers, thermal vacuum chambers, and data acquisition systems
Work closely with design and systems engineers to define test requirements and margins
Actively monitor tests, troubleshoot issues, and make real-time decisions to keep campaigns moving
Ensure tests meet industry and customer standards (NASA, MIL-STD, ECSS)
Coordinate instrumentation, fixturing, and test configurations with technicians
Investigate test anomalies and support rapid root cause and corrective action efforts
Analyze data and produce clear, concise test reports with actionable results
Help maintain and improve lab capabilities, equipment, and processes

Required

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or a related engineering field
3+ years of hands-on environmental testing experience
Strong background in vibration and thermal testing of aerospace hardware
Experience working directly with accelerometers, thermal sensors, shakers, and DAQ systems
Comfortable working in cleanrooms and lab environments
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and solve problems quickly

Preferred

Experience with LabVIEW, MATLAB, Python, or TestStand
Direct experience supporting satellite or launch vehicle environmental test campaigns
Familiarity with MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-1540, NASA GEVS, or ECSS standards
Exposure to thermal or structural analysis tools
