Responsibilities

Work with a team of materials engineers that are embedded within a Lockheed Martin Space production area

Engage with multiple other engineering disciplines on a daily basis

Solve problems related to adhesives, coatings, metallics, electrical harnessing, and composites

Qualification

Required

Actively enrolled in an Material Sciences and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, degree program or other related background or field of study from an accredited university or college

Familiar with material/mechanical test methods

Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance

Preferred

Ability to assess and analyze technical Material data

Familiarity with a variety of materials and process engineering disciplines including metals, adhesives, chemical processing, bonding, cleaning, and manufacturing operations

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment

Proficient with Microsoft Office
