Responsibilities
Own the end-to-end migration from Snowflake to Databricks
Review existing Snowflake data models, pipelines, queries, and workloads
Rebuild and optimize pipelines in Databricks using Spark, SQL, and Python
Handle performance tuning, cost considerations, and reliability post-migration
Ensure data accuracy and validation throughout the migration
Partner with stakeholders to minimize disruption to downstream consumers
Make pragmatic decisions and move fast in a production environment
Qualification
Required
Strong experience as a Senior Data Engineer
Proven, hands-on experience migrating workloads from Snowflake to Databricks
Deep experience with Spark, SQL, and Python
Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving environment
Experience owning delivery, not just contributing tickets
