Members Credit Union is seeking an IT Specialist to support I.T. operations, ensuring successful end-of-day system processing and providing technical support. The role involves managing maintenance tasks, assisting in documentation, and evaluating technology resources.

Responsibilities

Manage nightly processing cycle to ensure EOD processing completes without interruption

Escalate serious errors or issues to Senior I.T. staff or vendor support, as necessary

Assist in patch management of I.T. systems, including desktop PC's, servers, switches, and other hardware

Provide technical support in the use and operations of complex I.T. systems

Install or modify data communication systems and other I.T. hardware and peripherals

Perform all necessary preventative maintenance on I.T. hardware at all locations

Document maintenance tasks for all branch locations and departments

Manage maintenance supplies levels

Manage relationships with outside repair vendors and suppliers

Evaluate technical requirements for upgrades in hardware/software

Assist in design and maintenance of systems documentation according to applicable policies, regulations and standards

Assist in managing technology resources including main system, communications network, telephone system, and personal computer connectivity

Evaluate new technology and computer supplies according to budgetary line items

Keep abreast of latest hardware and software developments

Requires valid drivers license, and reliable transportation for travel to branch locations across the state of N.C

Required

High school graduate or GED required

Evening work hours are required

Must be able to work without direct supervision

Must have the ability to learn Credit Union software products

Must demonstrate the ability to pivot between responsibilities

Must have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written

Must be detail oriented and well organized

Must be able to work in a general office environment

Must be able to complete all assignments with minimal supervision

Professional phone etiquette required

Possess a strong commitment to providing excellent service to coworkers

Requires valid drivers license, and reliable transportation for travel to branch locations across the state of N.C

Moderate physical exertion. Requires lifting and supporting equipment weighing 50lbs or more; includes standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing ladders; or requires repetitive and sustained exercise of fine motor skills; or requires working in a loud and cold environment; in excess of 50% of the time
