Engineer I
Nisqually Red Wind Casino is dedicated to enhancing the economic viability and quality of life for the Nisqually Indian Tribe and its community. The Engineer I role focuses on overseeing the maintenance of casino buildings and grounds, ensuring quality and safety for guests through hands-on work in repairs and maintenance.

Responsibilities
Understands the operation of the Casino kitchen systems: in order to repair or improve them and /or to assist external vendors in diagnosing problems
Reports to Facilities Manager/Assistant Facilities Manager regarding any issues or problems that arise on assigned shift
Make suggestions for improvements to procedures and products used in the Facilities Department
Maintaining, repairing and assembling furniture, fixtures and equipment
May execute construction projects from start to finish
Performs other duties as requested
Qualification
Required
2 years of experience in all aspects of commercial building maintenance, including plumbing, minor electrical repair, and carpentry
Provide a Driving Abstract
Must have a valid Driver License and Driver's abstract must not contain any disqualifying events per the NRWC Safe Driver Policy
Ability to follow through with tasks in a timely manner
Ability to work in a team environment
Some administrative ability including record keeping
Ability to work without direct supervision
Possess excellent decision-making skills
Demonstrates honesty in the workplace
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Current knowledge of occupational safety issues
Pass NRWC pre-employment testing
Ability to work all shifts including weekends and holidays
Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, while working from ladders and lifts
Ability to stand or move around continuously for 8 or more hours
Ability to reach up to a height of 69” while lifting items up to 50 pounds
Ability to tolerate a smoke-filled environment
