Responsibilities

Dental terminology knowledge and ability to explain to patients
Dental insurance knowledge - able to understand insurance verification, pre-determination, EOBs
Open dental usage knowledge - ability to make/ edit appointments, to enter patient and patient's insurance information
Knowledge how to calculate copays, deductibles, and downgrades
Ability to coordinate patients' schedule and flow in the office
Ability to explain treatment plans and arrange third party financing if needed
Ability to quick learn and to multitask
Review and explain treatment plans to patients in a clear and compassionate manner
Coordinate treatment sequencing with doctors and clinical staff
Present financial options, including insurance benefits, estimates, and payment plans
Verify insurance coverage and assist patients in understanding their benefits
Obtain patient consent and signatures for treatment plans
Schedule treatment appointments efficiently and accurately
Follow up with patients regarding pending or unscheduled treatment
Maintain accurate and complete patient records and documentation
Communicate professionally with patients, doctors, and team members
Support a positive patient experience through a friendly, caring, and confident approach

Experience: dental office: 2 years (Required)
