Responsibilities
Coordinating, editing, and producing content, internal newsletters, and messaging
Creating PowerPoint presentations
Drafting and editing internal and external posts and announcements
Assisting in maintaining and managing our internal SharePoint sites and pages and our external website
Monitoring blog and social media engagement
Ensuring accuracy, clarity, and style consistency across communication platforms
Assisting in employee engagement programs
Research and information gathering
Providing assistance to the Communications staff
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Education must be accredited by an institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or similar field of study from an accredited college or university
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including PowerPoint and Teams
Applicants must have at least two years of professional experience working in an office environment in the field of communications
Must be a U.S. citizen
Must be able to pass a drug screening
Must be able to obtain and maintain Moderate Background Investigation security clearance
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government-issued credit card
May be required to successfully complete a 12-month probationary period
Preferred
Master's degree in English, Communications, or Journalism, or Public Relations
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud products
Familiarity with social media management tools such as Sprout Social
Ability to analyze web traffic and social media metrics to measure the success of the content and campaigns
Experience conducting keyword research and applying SEO best practices to optimize content
