Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS, IMS DB/DC, DB2, MQ and VSAM
Experience in enterprise-level ticketing systems (ServiceNow, JIRA, HPPPM etc.) and their operational workflows
Worked on waterfall and agile methodology projects; capable of handling - Incidents, Service Requests and Change Requests simultaneously
Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex application and integration
Conduct performance tuning and optimization of Mainframe applications and database queries
Develop technical documentation (Knowledge Base articles, SOPs) for business and support teams
Understand both functional and technical requirements and provide implementation/change options aligned with business needs
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Extensive experience in mainframe application development, support and maintenance
Experience using Telon
Proficiency in mainframe technologies such as COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, IMS DC/DB, MQ and VSAM
Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
Experience with version control systems and software development tools
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
