Responsibilities
Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice review, payment processing, billing, and collections support
Assist with general ledger maintenance, including preparation of journal entries
Perform account reconciliations (bank, credit card, balance sheet accounts)
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
Assist with inventory tracking, reconciliation, and reporting
Support sales tax registrations, filings, payments, and documentation
Prepare schedules and supporting documentation for internal and external audits
Maintain accurate accounting records and organized documentation
Respond to internal inquiries related to invoices and payments
Independently managing complex reconciliations and close activities
Coordinating multi-state sales tax compliance and working with external tax advisors
Serving as a primary point of contact for audit requests
Assisting with financial reporting, analysis, and variance explanations
Supporting internal controls and process documentation
Identifying and implementing process improvements and efficiencies
Assisting with accounting system enhancements or implementations
Providing guidance or informal support to junior team members
Qualification
Required
1–5+ years of accounting or finance experience
Understanding of basic to intermediate accounting principles (GAAP)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (lookups, pivot tables, data analysis)
Experience with accounting or ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Sage, Dynamics, QuickBooks)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
CPA or CPA-eligible a plus
Additional accounting coursework or certifications considered a plus
