TradeEngage is the first B2B referral platform for home services, fundamentally changing how companies acquire jobs. The Senior Data Analyst will own the data and analytics function, building measurement infrastructure and providing actionable insights to drive business decisions.

Responsibilities

Build and own the foundational company database that powers our entire go-to-market motion

Sanitize, enhance, and enrich data from multiple sources (CRM, product, integrations, third-party vendors) into a single source of truth

Create data models for accounts, contacts, territories, market segments, and opportunity scoring that Sales, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success rely on daily

Build self-serve dashboards and analytics in Hex

Create the semantic layer and endorsed tables that enable AI-native, Claude + MCP-powered self-serve analytics

Own data hygiene, deduplication, normalization, and enrichment workflows

Integrate third-party data sources (firmographic, technographic, intent data) to build comprehensive account and contact profiles

Implement automated data validation, monitoring, and alerting systems

Own the analytics data warehouse, event logging, data pipelines, and data quality

Document everything—data dictionaries, metric definitions, table endorsements

Run deep-dive analyses for time-sensitive decisions

Design and analyze A/B tests

Support product decisions with user behavior analysis

Build partner-specific analytics packages and dashboards that become differentiators in sales conversations and business reviews

Required

5-8 years of data science experience with experience at an early-stage startup (<50 people) or high-growth marketplace. You've sanitized, enriched and architected full databases (DaaS)

AI-native and automation-obsessed: You build with Claude/MCP integration in mind, create self-serve analytics, and constantly ask 'how can we make this insight accessible to everyone?'

Operate with grit, speed & obsession: You have the intensity to thrive in a high-velocity environment and the work ethic to 'do what it takes' to build a transformational company—recognizing that true impact can require effort beyond 9–5 and a five-day week

Hands-on technical builder: You write production-quality SQL and Python, build data pipelines, and can architect a data warehouse from scratch. You're comfortable in dbt, Airflow/Dagster, and modern BI tools

Business-minded data scientist: You don't just build models—you translate them into business recommendations. You care about adoption, not just accuracy

Founder mentality & energized by building: You've been early at a company before or have the hunger to build something from scratch

Preferred

Preferably you've worked at marketplaces or B2B SaaS —bonus if you've worked with viral growth models, network effects, multi-sided platforms, or verticalized software
