Responsibilities
Develop using C# test programs to conduct functional testing of firmware for complex embedded runtime environments used in industrial automation products
Primary responsibility will be to implement and test solutions on a Windows-based C# desktop application
Completes the development of software test requirements for modules under development
Executes software (unit and integration) tests
Agile/Lean software development process
Develops software
Reviews relevant requirements, standards, and other documentation to clarify and understand software engineering requirements
Provides estimates for modules under development and estimates own work
Presents technical findings and developments
Adheres to the software quality process through the execution of module, subsystem, and system test procedures
Analyzes localization requirements and designs/adapts products and solutions accordingly
Collaborate with team members to analyze requirements and define test cases
Evaluate the testability of requirements and provide feedback
Identify potential technical issues or design flaws
Communicate and coordinate with internal stakeholders, including developers, support staff, technical writers, project managers, and QA personnel
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering only
Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience
Programming experience in C# is required
Object-oriented programming experience is required
Experience or knowledge of developing test automation applications
Strong attention to detail and a solid work ethic
Self-motivated with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Preferred
Linux programming experience is a big wish, but not absolutely required
Knowledge in testing firmware for complex embedded runtime environments is a plus
Experience with Industrial Automation and systems Motion is a plus
Using Industrial Automation systems: Motion controls, I/Os, etc., are pluses
