The Florida Bar is seeking a Paralegal to provide support to bar counsel. The role involves preparing pleadings, conducting legal research, and assisting in trial preparation among other responsibilities.

Assisting in investigations and file reviews
Assisting in trial preparation
Assisting in preparation and submission of public record reviews
Assisting in special projects and preparation and submission of monthly memos
Other duties as assigned

Required

Completion of an accredited paralegal/legal course of study (proof required at interview). Juris Doctorate will substitute for this education
Four (4) years of paralegal/legal assistant experience or certified as a Florida Registered Paralegal or Certified Legal Assistant or Juris Doctorate
A legal writing sample is required with resume/application (must be in Word or .pdf)
Knowledge of Bar Disciplinary Procedures
Knowledge of Rules of Civil Procedure
Knowledge of Adobe Acrobat
Skills in conducting legal and internet research
Skills in drafting and preparation of pleadings
Skills in written legal communication
Skills in dealing with people
Skills in MS Word
Ability to think logically and solve problems effectively
Ability to carry out directions
Ability to organize and prioritize work
Ability to think and work independently and responsibly
Ability to tactfully manage difficult situations
Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing
Ability to interpret TFB policies and procedures
Ability to learn The Rules Regulating The Florida Bar
Ability to create ADA compliant forms and documents using Adobe
