They are looking for an experienced Lead Machine Learning Engineer to join the Alternative Data team that supports Quantitative Researchers and Data Scientists throughout the fund. The role involves building high-performance AI infrastructure and collaborating closely with business and research teams to achieve quantitative trading goals.

Responsibilities

As a Machine Learning Engineer in their fast-growing AI and Machine Learning group, you will be part of the Alternative Data group that supports Quantitative Researchers, Data Scientists and Quantitative Traders across asset classes within the fund to power their quantitative research and trading

You will be building high-performance and foundational Alpha and AI infrastructure to enable researchers/analysts/traders to leverage the most advanced AI algorithms efficiently and productively in their day-to-day workflow

Finally, you should expect to work closely with the business and research teams to achieve their quantitative trading goals and objectives

Required

Minimum 5 years of Machine Learning Engineering experience

Ability to work with stakeholders and communicate needs across groups

Strong programming experience with a background in Data Pipelines, ETL processes and Machine Learning model fine-tuning, implementation and optimization

PhD or Masters in a related field

Experience with machine learning libraries/frameworks (e.g. PyTorch, HuggingFace) and a demonstrated passion for leveraging AI and engineering excellence to make big impact in quantitative finance

Preferred

It's a 'Plus' if you've built high-performance infrastructure, LLM applications with open-source projects, or other orchestration frameworks, and/or have experience with information retrieval systems, semantic search, and other classical NLP tools
