This role involves providing technical oversight for municipal and public infrastructure projects, focusing on quality assurance and quality control while mentoring project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables.

Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC standards and procedures to ensure consistency, accuracy, and compliance across all project deliverables
Conduct comprehensive reviews of design plans, specifications, reports, and calculations to confirm alignment with company standards, client expectations, and applicable regulatory requirements
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff, supporting knowledge sharing and professional development across the team
Collaborate with project managers and design teams during key project phases to proactively identify and resolve technical issues by providing technical expertise
Participate in the development and delivery of internal technical training programs to promote best practices and elevate overall technical performance
Identify recurring quality concerns or inefficiencies and lead continuous improvement efforts in tools, workflows, and design practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required); PE license required
12+ years of civil engineering experience, with a focus on municipal engineering and public sector projects
Strong understanding of local and regional regulatory requirements
High level of technical proficiency & strong background in development of design drawings and technical specifications for civil engineering projects, as well as experience in civil engineering construction phase service
Proven experience conducting technical QA/QC reviews
Strong attention to detail, highly organized and systematic in approach
Ability to mentor others and communicate complex technical information clearly
Proficiency in civil engineering design tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D, StormCAD, HydroCAD, etc
Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
