Responsibilities

Coaches multiple project “Execution Teams” in developing & delivering new features & product improvements during 6-week build cycles. Manage the delivery of the product to include coaching, resolving escalations, technical guidance and fostering decision making
Foster a culture of collaboration, learning, and accountability
Helps Engineering Team Members identify, diagnose, and resolve day-to-day challenges. Address interpersonal or technical conflicts within the team quickly and constructively, maintaining a positive work atmosphere
Coaches direct reports in identifying, committing to, and achieving individual goals that grow their career as well as benefit the team, department, and/or company
Gathers & provides consistent feedback & guidance to Engineering Team Members on behavior & performance. This includes goal setting, performance management, career development and mentoring
Helps Team Members develop & strengthen key skills in the areas of decision-making, leadership, effective communication, emotional intelligence and personal growth goals
Forecast your team growth by assessing gaps and growth areas across the teams
Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent
Helps teams ensure that risks associated with development activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled
Work closely with product managers, designers, and other departments to align engineering work with overall business objectives and customer needs. Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align engineering initiatives with company strategy
Facilitate the technical direction of .NET applications, ensuring architectural decision support
Balance hands-on contribution with oversight, providing technical leadership without becoming a bottleneck for execution scalability, performance, and maintainability
Champion system reliability and security, embedding observability, monitoring, and secure coding practices into team workflows
Drive engineering best practices, including code quality, testing, CI/CD, and documentation
Collaborate with product and platform leaders to align technical roadmaps with business strategy
Ensure timely and predictable delivery of features, enhancements, and fixes

Required

Deep understanding of Agile Software Engineering principles & practices
Strong coaching & leadership abilities

Lead and motivate engineering teams during production outages or critical issues

Experience driving technical roadmaps, prioritization, and delivery in an agile environment

Preferred

Minimum of 1 year of experience managing software engineers, with a track record of fostering team growth and delivering successful projects
Proven experience in the .NET ecosystem (C#, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework, and related frameworks)
Background in building enterprise-grade, customer-facing applications
Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems
Experience designing scalable architectures, integrating APIs, and deploying applications to cloud environments (Azure, AWS or equivalent)
