Safeguard Properties is seeking a Lead Business System Analyst to evaluate and redesign operational workflows that support technology service delivery and core business functions. The role focuses on identifying structural misalignments and optimizing processes to achieve operational efficiency by bridging business needs with technical execution.

Responsibilities

End-to-End Process Transformation: Independently assess workflows across core business domains, mapping current-state processes to identify handoffs, latency, and critical bottlenecks that hinder delivery

Strategic Interface & Vendor Management: Act as the primary objective analyst for evaluating the performance of external technology vendors and SaaS partners. Use factual data and process analysis to drive service-level improvements and optimize third-party ROI

Root Cause Analysis & Alignment: Conduct structured interviews with technical teams, business owners, and external partners to spot inconsistencies between stated business objectives and actual operational behavior

Metrics & KPI Rationalization: Evaluate existing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting structures. Define the critical measurements that accurately reflect the health of our operations, distinguishing useful signal from measurement noise

Operational Integration & Tooling Audit: Analyze the effectiveness of how major platforms (ERP, CRM, Project Management tools) support business goals. Evaluate how organizational policies are enforced—or bypassed—by the current configuration of these systems

Strategic Recommendation & Roadmapping: Develop data-backed recommendations for the elimination, replacement, or redesign of operational processes and service structures

Executive Communication: Deliver findings and logical roadmaps in a calm, factual manner to VP and C-Suite executives, ensuring transparency on where system failures originate and how they can be systematically fixed

Required

Proven track record as a Principal Analyst, Operations Strategy Leader, or Management Consultant specializing in process optimization and vendor performance

You have a history of evaluating operational performance where multiple variables intersect (e.g., service delivery, compliance requirements, and operational budgets)

You are an expert at translating complex technical constraints into business risks and vice versa, ensuring tech companies and internal teams are aligned on outcomes

A proven history of influencing significant operational decisions based on evidence and logical rigor, rather than through direct management of technical staff

Highly proficient in process mapping (current vs. future state), root cause analysis, and applying systems thinking to the interdependencies of a modern business landscape
