Landshark Recruiting is seeking an IT System Administrator (MSP) to support multiple business environments across the DC Metro area. The role involves providing technical support, managing service requests, and delivering IT projects while ensuring clear communication with clients.

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 2/3 support across client IT environments (servers, networks, firewalls, M365, endpoints)
Manage multiple service requests at once while maintaining clear documentation and client communication
Identify risks and opportunities in client environments and recommend improvements (performance, security, scalability)
Deliver projects such as migrations, onboarding/offboarding, server upgrades, and network refreshes
Support virtual and cloud infrastructure (VMware/Hyper-V, Azure/AWS depending on client)
Troubleshoot hardware/software/security issues end-to-end, escalating when appropriate
Explain technical issues and solutions in a way that makes sense to non-technical users and stakeholders

Required

3+ years of experience working for an IT Managed Service Provider
5+ years in a System Admin / Network Admin / IT Consultant role
Strong client-facing communication skills (this role interacts with end users + decision makers)
High accountability: ownership mindset + follow-through
Windows / Windows Server
AD, GPO, DNS, DHCP
Microsoft 365 (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune)
VMware and/or Hyper-V
Networking fundamentals (LAN/WAN, routing/switching, VPN, TCP/IP)
Firewall platforms (Fortinet, Palo Alto, SonicWall, etc.)
Azure and/or AWS
Backup/DR and security tooling
