Program Analyst

They are seeking a Program Analyst to join their NextGen Weather Processor team, where the role involves analyzing and managing schedules and budgets to support the FAA's weather services for aviation safety.

Responsibilities
Provides a consistent weather picture, with timely analyses and short-term predictive elements tailored to specific aviation requirements
Translates the weather picture into reliable airspace constraints for integration into air traffic decision-making
Enables safe, timely, and efficient operation of the National Airspace System (NAS) in all kinds of weather and seasons
Consolidates multiple FAA weather programs with overlapping capabilities into a single NextGen weather system
Offers National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration and FAA NextGen Weather Processor weather products for integration into air traffic decision support systems, improving the quality of traffic management decisions and reducing controller workload during severe weather
Provides products via a set of common web services for weather, using internationally recognized data access and data format standards
Serves as an expert contributor in particular business processes responsible for formulating systems scope and objectives relative to the organization's business plan
Responsible for providing guidance concerning business and/or financial/schedule implications of the application of various systems
Supports program management team whose core responsibilities may include the collection, analysis, and reporting of data to enable successful program execution
Particular focus will be on building, maintaining, and analyzing schedules and budgets
These activities will include generating program/project status, cost and schedule indicators, project schedule trends, critical path analysis, and schedule optimizations
Responsible for developing and analyzing weekly/monthly reports on business related metrics
Identifies potential project trends and risks to management
May also support creation of cost estimates for procurement actions
Develops business systems and processes based on user needs and requirements
Devises or modifies procedures to enable management to make program decisions based on cost benefit analysis and schedule considerations
Classifies, monitors, and summarizes financial and schedule data for the preparation and submission of reports on a recurring basis
Qualification
Required
Associates degree in a business or legal related field of study with a minimum of eighteen (18) years of related experience
Bachelor's Degree in a business or legal related field of study with a minimum of fifteen (15) years related experience
Masters of Business Administration or related Master's degree with a minimum of ten (10) years related experience
Understanding of project management principles
Proficient in writing and oral communication skills
Proficient using MS project and spreadsheets
Flexibility and adaptability to navigate changing priorities, requirements, and the operational environment
Analytical and problem-solving ability
Knowledge of FAA/ Federal Government Accounting practices, Government appropriation process, Office of Management and Budgets 300 development support, or government contracts
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office software products including Microsoft Project
Be a US Citizen, have a US Green Card, or a Non-immigrant Work Authorization (VISA)
Has resided in the US for three (3) consecutive years
Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance to Egg Harbor Township, NJ
Preferred
Experience with NAS second level engineering (highly preferred)
