Perdue Farms is a fourth-generation, family-owned food and agricultural business deeply rooted in tradition yet with a forward-thinking mindset. They are seeking an experienced Manager of Financial Planning & Analysis to manage core finance processes including reporting, forecasting, and annual budgeting while providing strategic decision support to drive business performance.

Responsibilities

Manage the preparation of weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports. This includes presenting variance insights, tracking cost savings initiatives and developing presentations for the Company’s Board of Directors, Lenders and Family meetings

Assist with managing the company’s workforce planning forecasting and budgeting processes. This includes establishing timelines, vetting assumptions, preparing executive review summaries and collaborating with HR and business partners on position management

Provide strategic decision support to drive business performance. This includes leading special projects across the company, analyzing financial statements (i.e. Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow), and conducting competitor benchmarking

Assists Corporate Accounting in the monthly and year-end close processes and is responsible for the accuracy, preparation and analysis of various monthly financial reports & analyses

Provide ad-hoc analyses for senior management whenever necessary, ensuring tight deadlines are always met

Assist with maintaining select modules within OneStream, automating reports and improving work processes; eliminating redundancies & increasing efficiencies. Proactively drive change

Assist Director & VP as needed, including Executive Presentations, business cases, and BPR/Finance Transformation project activities

Required

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

5+ years of finance/accounting experience or business-related financial analysis experience

Working knowledge of financial and accounting principles

Strong analytical ability- deal with ambiguity, synthesize complex data and draw business insights

Creative problem solver that can identify patterns from disparate sources and deliver comprehensive and actionable analyses

Strong organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects within tight timelines

Ability to effectively communicate point of view to management and cross-functional teams

A detail oriented approach- must pay close attention to details and error check own work

Ability to work independently and exercise independent judgment

Trustworthy with confidential information

Reliability (attendance and timeliness) important to ensure execution of deliverables

Preferred

Customer service mindset and ability to work with internal 'clients' around the company

Ability to cope with pressure and changing priorities with a focus on delivering results

Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel as well as the ability and eagerness to learn software applications (i.e. SAP, Hyperion Essbase, OneStream, Power BI)

Proactively initiates changes to improve work processes

Experience in protein, consumer products or foods-related industries is a plus
