Astrix is seeking a Genomics Reimbursement Analyst to support the revenue cycle team by resolving billing inquiries and collecting payments. The role involves managing billing records, submitting insurance claims, and following up on outstanding balances.

Responsibilities

Support past-due patient and client collections and maintain accurate billing records

Resolve billing inquiries via phone and electronic channels and support Client Services with patient-related questions

Post payments, denials, and correspondence from all sources and reconcile daily payments with banking records

Follow up on denied or unpaid insurance claims, resolve claim errors to ensure clean submissions, and research eligibility rejections by confirming patient coverage

Required

Associate degree or equivalent relevant experience in healthcare revenue cycle operations

Strong knowledge of medical billing practices, including CPT, ICD-10, EOBs, CMS-1500, and client-style billing, with a clear understanding of in-network vs. out-of-network claims

Experience working with insurance payers, including requirements, guidelines, appeals, and patient financial responsibility (copays, deductibles, coinsurance)

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work across departments and communicate with patients, clinics, and internal teams

Proficiency in MS Word, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA, SOX, and related regulations
