Payroll Supervisor

Responsibilities

Operate as the subject matter expert and escalation point to resolve issues. Continuously look for improvements in operational processes and designs and implement those initiatives
Coach and mentor team members and implement workable solutions to business issues and problems with minimum referral to management
Conduct work planning, estimation, and prioritization to improve team performance. Work with Payroll Manager to define standards and goals
Train team members on new or enhanced operation procedures and policies. Confirm team members have the necessary skills and performance attributes, inline with business and personal development needs
Monitor workload, evaluates direct reports, and may review the evaluations and development plans of others
Implement quality control measures and identify process improvements
Supervise and coordinate year-end processing, including supplemental payroll runs and calendars
Assist with system development activities and participate in testing activities
Resolve complex problems and identify appropriate approaches to existing solutions to accomplish team objectives
May establish new techniques to ensure the team is able to meet its objectives
Have a direct impact on the team objectives as well as the objectives of related teams
Ensure personal and team outcomes have a positive impact on customer objectives
Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values. Guide team through the application of basic knowledge of practices and procedures. Work to build consensus

Required

High School Diploma or GED with 5+ years of job-related experience
In-depth understanding of a range of processes, procedures, systems, and concepts within own job function and basic knowledge of related job functions required
The ability to explain complex concepts or sensitive information
Expert knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc
Excellent organizational skills with a master-level inquisitive mindset
Exceptional math skills. Ability to calculate sophisticated figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups

Preferred

Prior shift leader or supervisory experience preferred
