System One is seeking a Metallurgical Laboratory Technician to support advanced nuclear materials testing and characterization activities. This role involves hands-on laboratory work in a controlled environment, focusing on materials and fuels testing for next-generation sodium-cooled fast reactor technology.

Responsibilities

Perform hands-on laboratory-based materials testing and characterization

Conduct metallography and characterization for a wide range of metallic and ceramic materials

Generate reports documenting characterization techniques and resulting data

Perform radiation work, including work within gloveboxes

Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment including furnaces, polishing equipment, and metallography tools

Assist with the design, fabrication, and operation of custom laboratory experiments

Coordinate receipt inspections, material sectioning, and shipment of materials with on-site and off-site personnel

Required

Associate's, Technology, or Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
