Responsibilities

Lead a sales team to achieving the budgeted sales quota for the year
Directly supervise a team of 5+ Account Development Executives
Monitor performance and achieve financial goals
Develop, motivate and counsel staff
Foster a collaborative environment and provide feedback about market conditions
Plan sales strategy per quarter to achieve fiscal year goals
Work with current and competitive accounts, hiring and building a successful sales team
Direct/manage staff performance and handle customer issues and satisfaction
Assist in driving efforts to increase client retention
Utilize Sales Automation tools to define market penetration
Identify and target Competitive Prospects and Plan Strategy to increase the DMS Market share and Strategic DMS Agnostic products
Execute sales strategy to engage in sales processes and bring them to successful closure
Utilize resources including Channel partners and salesforce.com to manage a robust pipeline and provide accurate forecasting
Understand competition and proactively attack their base

Required

4 year college degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 6-8 years of related experience in leading a quota-exceeding outside b2b sales hunters, selling complex software systems
Experience selling Dealer Management Systems to automotive dealerships
Demonstrated track record of success in a solutions selling environment
7-9 months of job related formal Sales training
1-3 years of outside B2B sales/including new business development
Experience in automotive industry required
Excellent planning, project management, analytical and facilitation skills
Demonstrated ability to lead and work within a multi-functional team environment, with a strong track record of delivering measurable results
Excellent verbal/written communication skills, including the ability to make effective presentations to a variety of senior level audiences
Demonstrated ability to make meaningful recommendations to senior management regarding the strategic direction of the sales organization, including the ability to make tough recommendations
Superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and technology applications
Excellent work ethic, with ability to succeed in a competitive, high-performance work environment
Be a self-starter, able to work independently and collaboratively
Ability to travel approximately 75% is required
Quota at 100% or more every year

Preferred

Knowledge of automotive - technology and digital solutions preferred
