GL Communications Inc. is searching for a senior telecommunications engineer to support its Products division. The engineer will be responsible for building and configuring products, discussing requirements with customers, providing demonstrations, and offering customer support.

Support its Products division

Build and configure the products

Discuss requirements with customers and provide demonstrations

Provide feedback to GL’s developers

Provide customer support

Include occasional travel to customer sites within the USA

Qualification

Telecommunications networksComputer programmingTechnician skillsBachelor's degree in engineeringCommunication skills

Required

Bachelor's degree in engineering, physical sciences or mathematics from an accredited university

Prior work experience in the telecom industry including engineering or technician roles

Strong knowledge of telecommunications networks including legacy networks (PSTN, T1 and E1), wireless networks (Land mobile radio, 4G LTE and 5G), high-speed fiber optic networks

Technician skills including soldering, building PCs and cables, configuring Windows or Linux OS

Computer programming skills such as JAVA, Python, C++, Bash scripting
