Responsibilities
Business Development: Actively recruit and book events for Casa Sur Hacienda, targeting the geographic area from Downtown San Diego south to San Ysidro
Network Integration: Leverage your professional memberships to position Casa Sur Hacienda as the preferred venue for South Bay gatherings
Site Tours & Sales: Lead venue walkthroughs for potential clients and close booking contracts
Strategic Partnerships: Collaborate with local vendors (catering, DJs, florists) to create seamless event packages
Community Advocacy: Represent Casa Sur Hacienda at Chamber of Commerce events and local mixers to build brand awareness
Qualification
Required
Active Professional Membership: To ensure the highest level of industry standard, candidates must be an active member of at least one of the following organizations: NACE (National Association for Catering and Events), ILEA (International Live Events Association), MPI (Meeting Professionals International), PCMA (Professional Convention Management Association), San Diego Tourism Authority, SDDJA (San Diego DJ Association), SITE Southern California
Local Expertise: Deep knowledge of the South Bay demographic and business landscape (Downtown to SY)
Proven Track Record: At least 2–5 years of experience in event planning, venue sales, or hospitality
Preferred
Bilingual Preferred: Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish to serve our diverse Latinopreneur community
