UICGS / Bowhead Family of Companies is seeking an Engineering Technician II for the Letterkenny Army Depot in Chambersburg, PA. The role involves following specific instructions to assemble and repair equipment, conduct tests, and process engineering data while ensuring excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Following specific instructions, assembles or constructs simple or standard equipment or parts, servicing or repairing simple instruments or equipment

Conducting a variety of tests using established methods, preparing test specimens, adjusting and operating equipment, recording test data, and pointing out deviations resulting from equipment malfunction or observational errors

Extracting engineering data from various prescribed but non-standardized sources, processing the data following well-defined methods including elementary algebra and geometry, and presenting the data in prescribed form

Must possess a strong desire to provide excellent customer service solutions and interact with coworkers and clients in a courteous and professional manner

Must be motivated to perform other duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or equivalent

Minimum of one-three (1-3) years' experience in the position applied for (referenced above)

Must have cost estimator skills

Must have extensive knowledge of blue prints

Must have experience with tech writing

Must be able to perform basic mathematics

Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English

Must have a good working knowledge of Army regulations; systems, programs, policies, nomenclature, work methods, manuals, or other established guidelines

Must be able to pass a background investigation and gain access to military installations

Must have intermediate computer knowledge of internet software; spreadsheet software, word processing software and MS Office Suite

Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts

Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
