Hi Tech Honeycomb Inc is seeking a Braze Tape Operator I, an entry-level role designed for learning and growth. This position offers the opportunity to learn specific manual techniques using various hand tools for the Braze tape application process.

Responsibilities

Understand and follow Hi Tech Honeycomb’s Quality Policy, System Procedures and Operations Manuals
Understand and follow safety procedures such as Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Understand and follow procedures outlined in the General Shop instructions and Braze Tape Procedure found in the Operating Manual (O.M.)
Learn how to read travelers and sketches
Compare Braze tape information on the Traveler with the information in the specification box on the sketch
Learn to identify and confirm the honeycomb parts have been properly cleaned before applying the Braze Tape
Learn to cut Braze Tape material to appropriate length and width for procedure
Learn to use follow up cleaning and finishing of applied Braze Tape
Work closely with Inspection if a ‘first article’ is required by the customer
Notify mentor/lead or supervisor of any issues/concerns during the manufacturing procedure
Understand various non-conformance can occur during the braze application and finishing
Other duties as needed

Qualification

Mathematical skillsManufacturing experienceInspection tools experienceCommon sense reasoningSketches

Required

Manufacturing experience is preferred
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
Ability to understand and apply common sense to carry out instructions written in oral, or diagram form

Preferred

Experience with calipers, protractors, and inspection tools/equipment including but not limited to vises, press, slip roller, etc
Familiarity with travelers and sketches
