They are seeking an Administrative Specialist I to provide secretarial and administrative support, coordinating office functions for the Infirmary Director.

Responsibilities

Assisting, coordinating, and ensuring office and administrative functions are done as an extension of the Infirmary Director
Providing secretarial services and administrative support through clerical functions such as telephone reception, typing documents, filing (both hard copy and electronic), report/statistic preparation, scheduling meetings/interviews, meeting deadlines, taking minutes, creating spreadsheets and other forms needed by management, processing requisitions/orders, and budget functions for the Infirmary
Processing personnel actions, work schedules and keeping accurate budget accounts (both State and Division Funds)
Acting as the liaison between the Infirmary and Administration, Human Resources, Budget Office, Timekeeping, Nursing Services, and Maintenance

Required

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to pass a physical requirements test
Successful completion of the Murdoch Developmental Center 'Basic Training Series'; which includes, but is not limited to program library training, First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention Techniques (NVCI), CPR, Body Mechanics and lifting

Preferred

Knowledge of typing and office machines
Basic knowledge of data collection and storage to compile, assimilate, and organize hard copy and electronic information
