The University of Michigan is a leading health care institution seeking a highly motivated Lab technician to work in Dr. Thanh Hoang's lab. The role involves performing laboratory tasks and supporting research in glial biology, neurodevelopment, and retinal disorders.

Responsibilities
Providing technical support and collaborating with other lab members
Performing a variety of laboratory tasks, such as cloning, PCR, cell culture, RNA/DNA extraction, immunohistochemistry
Maintaining laboratory supplies and equipment
Assisting with sequencing data analysis
Assisting and training new lab members
Acquiring molecular biology techniques and data presentation skills
Qualification
Required
Candidates must hold a High school diploma at minimum, with basic molecular biology and cell biology techniques
Candidates need to be highly self-motivated and willing to learn new concepts/techniques
Preferred
Strong expertise in basic molecular biology and cell biology techniques
Experience in NGS sequencing data analysis, including single-cell RNA-Seq, total RNA-Seq, small RNA-Seq, scATAC-Seq and bulk ATAC-seq data analysis, is highly desirable
This position is best fit for a undergraduate student who want to get more experience and prepare for higher education
