Responsibilities
Lead development, integration, and verification of UAS subsystems
Plan, execute, and analyze flight tests for unmanned aircraft
Develop and maintain system requirements, interface documents, and verification plans
Coordinate across mechanical, electrical, software, and avionics teams for subsystem integration
Participate in design reviews, trade studies, and risk assessments
Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
Prepare technical reports and present project updates to stakeholders
Ensure compliance with engineering standards (ISO 9001, AS9100) and applicable aviation regulations
Qualification
Required
Must have a U.S Citizen with the eligibility to obtain a security clearance
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering
8+ years of systems engineering experience in aircraft or UAS platforms
Familiarity with systems engineering tools for requirements management and traceability (e.g., DOORS, JIRA, MATLAB/Simulink)
Strong technical communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to work independently in fast-paced, hands-on development environments
Preferred
Master's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering
Hands-on UAS flight test experience, including planning, execution, and analysis
Experience integrating custom subsystems on commercially available aircraft
Knowledge of autonomous flight systems, sensor integration, and avionics
Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE)
