Responsibilities
Perform setup of Internet and/or phone services at customer premises, providing the best in customer service
Verify residential customer’s internet connection
Install external antennas and cabling, as needed
Perform troubleshooting for internet service issues
Coordinate with schedulers with regard to responding to Trouble Tickets (customer issues) in a timely manner
Coordinate with schedulers for appointments, and communicate with customers regarding arrival time
Maintain adequate supplies on service truck to complete required task efficiently
Update and program data devices, as required
Additional duties as required
Qualification
Required
Candidates must be at least 21 years old
have a High School diploma or equivalent
a valid driver's license
Able to work outside in various extreme weather conditions
Must have the ability to pass pre-employment checks, which include a criminal background check, motor vehicle record check, and substance screening, following federal law
Exceptional customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Experience with Windows-based systems and PCs, including networking setup and testing
Understanding of electronic cabling and connections
Experience with construction and hand tools
Physically and mentally able to climb onto rooftops, and able to work in a safe manner from both rooftops and ladders
Able to travel to locations requiring an overnight stay
Flexibility to work weekends and other varied shifts, as assigned, and rotating on-call
Preferred
An Associate's or Vocational degree in a relevant field is desirable
