International Student Coordinator

StaffBright is partnering with a client to hire an International Student Coordinator who will serve as the primary point of contact for international students. This role involves supporting students with enrollment, compliance, and adjustment to academic and cultural life, while ensuring adherence to federal regulations and enhancing the student experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary Designated School Official (DSO), ensuring the college’s continued approval to enroll international students by maintaining strict compliance with Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and SEVIS regulations
Support the recruitment, enrollment, compliance, and overall success of international students across undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs
Work toward 30/60/90 day goals as outlined in the main job description, focusing on building knowledge of processes, ensuring compliance, and enhancing student support
Provide assistance with general enrollment and admissions tasks when not actively engaged in international student affair

Qualification

SEVIS proficiencyF-1OPT experienceBilingual proficiencyStudent Success Hub experienceOrganizational skillsCommunication skillsProblem-solving skills

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
2+ years of professional experience working with F-1 and OPT international students in a college or university setting
Demonstrated proficiency with SEVIS, including DHS policy interpretation and student immigration advising
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to support students from diverse cultural backgrounds

Preferred

Bilingual proficiency in Arabic or Spanish to better support and connect with diverse international student populations
Experience working with or navigating a Student Success Hub or similar student engagement platform
Ability to build trust and foster a welcoming environment for students from a wide range of cultural backgrounds
