They are seeking a Professional Coatings Representative who will manage commercial paint sales, build relationships with contractors and property managers, and act as a technical advisor to customers in the field.

Responsibilities

Build strong, long-term relationships with professional painters, contractors, and property managers
Grow your territory through new account acquisition, retention, and deeper account penetration
Be out where the action is—jobsites, customer meetings, lunches, industry events, and networking opportunities
Develop and execute a smart territory sales plan focused on high-value and growth-oriented customers
Provide expert product and application guidance, helping customers select the best coating solutions for their projects
Stay ahead of industry trends, product innovations, and market insights to position Aubuchon as a trusted advisor
Partner closely with retail store teams to support Paint Destination initiatives, training, and professional customer engagement
Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Operations, Merchandising, and vendor partners to deliver a seamless customer experience
Leverage CRM and sales tools to manage accounts, track activity, and drive productivity
Share customer feedback and competitive insights to support forecasting and strategic decision-making
Travel 70–80% of the time within your territory to meet customers and uncover new opportunities

Qualification

Required

High school diploma or GED
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and ability to pass an MVR check
Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory
Strong communication, relationship-building, and time management skills
Comfort working independently while collaborating with internal teams

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
3–5 years of B2B or commercial sales experience, ideally in paint, coatings, or building materials
Experience working with professional contractors or property managers
Solid understanding of paint/coatings products, application techniques, and project requirements
Experience using CRM systems and sales productivity tools
Strong negotiation, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Flexibility to attend evening or weekend industry and customer events when needed
