Responsibilities

Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Issues and Analysis Branch, HQ AFRC/A1RI
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities
Represents AFRC/A1R with a variety of installation and functional area organizations
Directs and coordinates studies to analyze and evaluate personnel programs
Functions as the senior technical advisor on system integration, program development and maintenance of all Air Force Reserve Human Resources systems and applications
Provides military and civilian personnel advisory services to AF/RE and HQ AFRC commander and staff on current and new personnel systems programs

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management
Applicants must have at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-13, or equivalent in other pay systems
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-14 level
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: Mastery of the concepts of automated systems and their ability to provide support to the personnel and readiness functions
Extensive knowledge of the structure, personnel policies, procedures, and operations of Base, MAJCOM and Headquarters level personnel functions, applications, and requirements
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors
Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
