Ranch Technician - Grounds - Philmont *OPEN UNTIL FILLED
Connecticut Rivers Council, Scouting America is seeking a Ranch Technician - Grounds to maintain facilities, property, and equipment in support of their programs. This role involves the maintenance and grooming of grounds and facilities, ensuring safety and efficiency in operations.

Responsibilities
Supports grounds, irrigation and tree care at the Historic Rancho Rayado, Kit Carson Museum, and the Historic Chase Ranch
Supplies support in the maintenance of all mechanical equipment and infrastructure associated with the mowing of lawns, trimming of trees, fertilizing lawns, landscaping, and irrigation systems
Works with contractors and seasonal staff
Assists with maintaining the facility, roads, forests, and surrounding property. Follows safety standards and procedures

Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Must pass a criminal history background check
Must be willing to wear appropriate safety gear, including boots, gloves, and protective clothing while performing duties
Valid State Driver's License (in good standing)
Minimum of 6 months of experience in related field
Equipment Option: Must have prior experience performing any combination of tasks involving preventive maintenance and repairs (scheduled and unscheduled); land maintenance and/or grounds work or other related skills trade work
Preferred
Pesticide Applicator Certification may be required for Equipment Option
