Responsibilities

Reporting to the Facility Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for supervisory work or highly skilled work in the general maintenance, repair and/or construction of buildings, related equipment, and plumbing, heating/cooling, and/or electrical systems

Work requires the exercise of initiative and judgment in the application of various technical trade skills to a variety of maintenance, repair and/or construction problems and in determining the extent of repair or replacement work to be done

Work usually involves supervision of employees engaged in journeyman level work involving electrical, plumbing, masonry, heating and air, carpentry, cabinet making, roofing, painting, or other trades

Employee may perform a wide variety of highly technical tasks independently at and above the journeyman level

Required

High school or General Educational Development diploma

An equivalent combination of education and experience

Current certification by the Environmental Protection Agency as a Type I, II, III or Universal technician as required by Title 40, Code of Federal Regulations Part 82, Subpart F
