Responsibilities
Serve as McKissack’s on-site Owner’s Representative for assigned DISD capital projects
Manage projects through all phases including planning, design, procurement, construction, closeout, and occupancy
Develop, review, and monitor project schedules; identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
Review budgets, cost estimates, change orders, and pay applications to ensure fiscal control and bond compliance
Coordinate architects, engineers, contractors, inspectors, and testing agencies to ensure alignment with project objectives
Facilitate project meetings; document decisions, track action items, and communicate status to DISD and McKissack leadership
Review submittals, RFIs, and construction documentation for completeness and compliance with contract requirements
Support quality assurance and quality control efforts throughout design and construction
Coordinate with DISD departments including Facilities, Operations, Safety, IT, and campus leadership
Prepare clear and accurate project reports, logs, and documentation using DISD-approved systems
Support community engagement efforts and respond to stakeholder inquiries as required
Ensure compliance with DISD policies, Texas public procurement regulations, and McKissack PMF standards
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field
5–8 years of experience managing capital construction projects, preferably within K–12, municipal, or public-sector environments
Demonstrated experience serving as an Owner's Representative or PM/CM
Strong working knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, cost control, and contract administration
Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously in active or occupied facilities
Excellent communication, coordination, and documentation skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management platforms (e.g., Procore, Unifier, e-Builder, or similar systems)
Ability to work on-site at DISD campuses and travel throughout the DFW metroplex as required
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required
Preferred
Certification: PMP, CCM, or equivalent preferred but not required
