West Regional Sales Manager - Building Materials

Micro-Cap Solutions is partnering with a national building materials distributor to find a Regional Sales Manager for the Western U.S. This role is responsible for driving sales growth, managing sales teams, and developing regional growth strategies while building long-term customer relationships.

Responsibilities

Drive regional sales volume and revenue growth through the distribution center network
Establish regional forecasts, quotas, and annual sales objectives
Partner with channel sales leaders to execute strategies across distributor, dealer, and national account channels
Translate high-level sales strategy into actionable plans and ensure consistent execution
Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities; coach and support sales representatives through the full sales cycle
Develop new business while strengthening and expanding existing customer relationships
Lead onboarding and training efforts for new customers across products, services, and systems
Monitor market trends, competitive activity, and evolving customer needs to inform regional strategy
Recruit, manage, coach, and motivate geographically dispersed internal and external sales teams to achieve performance targets
Travel extensively within the assigned region (up to 80%)

Required

5+ years of sales management experience, including leadership of geographically dispersed teams
Proven success developing new accounts and driving growth with distributors and national accounts
Strong understanding of multi-channel sales models (dealer, distributor, pro-direct)
Demonstrated ability to consistently meet or exceed sales targets in a B2B environment
Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of hands-on leadership and creative problem-solving
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM systems

Preferred

Experience within the building materials industry strongly preferred
