Strategic Business Planning Program Manager
Port of Seattle is a leader in moving people and cargo and they are seeking a Strategic Business Planning Program Manager to assist in leading Port-wide strategic planning and goal alignment. The role involves supporting strategic initiatives, conducting SWOT analyses, and collaborating on the development of annual planning documents.

Responsibilities
You will support Strategic Initiatives and the MSBP in facilitating realignments and improvements to goal setting and business planning processes
You will support the MSBP in their capacity as a strategic advisor to business divisions
You will assist in the development of Port-wide Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats (SWOT) analyses, strategic planning cadences, and deliver courses in strategic planning
You will work with the MSBP on the creation of and updates to the Annual Planning and Reporting documents associated with the Century Agenda
You will plan and coordinate events hosted by the Port or Strategic Initiatives, including quarterly disruption events that explore potential disruptions to Port operations or to Port-related industries
You will collect data and narratives for editing and eventual publication in annual reporting and planning documents, including memos to the Executive Director and Commission
You will conduct landscape analysis of regional and global technological advances that may influence Port business and create meaningful documents for presentation to Port Leadership to inform business planning
You will assist in delivering strategic planning classes and may be called upon to create classes or coursework
Qualification
Required
Five (5) years of experience in facilitation, research, and strategic planning with different organizational levels
Strong qualitative and quantitative data analysis skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including writing, editing and copyediting various types of documents
Strong presentation, interpersonal, and research skills
Ability to effectively multitask and demonstrate strong attention to detail
Commitment to applying equity and exemplifying shared values, behaviors, and practices in all aspects of the work
Ability to thrive in an environment where goals and tactics may change frequently
Washington State Residency Requirement – Employees must establish a residence in Washington state within 30 days of their first day of employment and must maintain a residence in Washington State during their employment with the Port of Seattle
Must pass a Transportation Security Administration (TSA) background check as well as a criminal history background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)
Preferred
Bachelor of Arts or Sciences in Business, Public Policy, or Public Administration
