Responsibilities

Assist in the development and monitoring of annual youth programming and family engagement revenue and expense budget to meet branch and association fiscal objectives. Accountable for all youth programming financial results
Directs and supervises youth engagement strategies to meet the needs of the community and fulfill YMCA objectives
Recruits, hires, trains, develops, schedules, and directs staff and volunteers for programming needs. Develops strategies to motivate staff and achieve program goals. Monitors and approves team hours worked
Develops and implements youth sports programs that promote teamwork, skill development, and health competition among participants
Plans and coordinates family-oriented events and activities that foster community engagement and encourage family participation
Assists in the creation of educational and recreational programs for families ensuring inclusivity and accessibility for all community members
Evaluates the success and participation of youth sports and family programs, making adjustments as necessary to enhance member experience
Addresses all department staff performance and maintains all appropriate written documentation
Assists in marketing and distribution of youth and family programming, may organize and schedule program registration
Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with community organizations
Review and evaluate staff performance for all programs
Assists in YMCA fundraising activities and special events
Model relationship-building skills (including Listen First) in all interactions. Responds to all member and community inquiries and complaints in a timely manner
Compiles program data. Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of and participation in programs
Perform other duties as assigned

Required

Must be at least 18 years old
Typical requirements within 30 days of hire include: completion of: Child Abuse Prevention of Supervisory Staff; Working with Program Volunteers; CPR, First Aid; AED; Bloodborne Pathogens

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent is preferred
One to two years related experience preferred
