Financial Assistant
HAWC Healing Abuse Working for Change is seeking a Financial Assistant to provide administrative financial support to the agency. The role involves processing accounts payable invoices, credit card reconciliation, and entering journal entries into financial software while also supporting the Director of Finance and Administration.

Responsibilities
Process Accounts Payable invoices into BILL.com
Collect, track and organize receipts and other financial back up
Perform day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks
Reconciliation of organization credit card account
Support financial reporting and assist with audits or internal reviews as needed
Communicate effectively with staff, vendors, and external partners
Assist with grant billings
Manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing needs
Supports Director of Finance on various projects
Participate in required trainings, including relevant portions of HAWC’s pre-service training
Qualification
Required
Strong organizational and administrative skills with high attention to detail
Computer proficiency, including accounting and office software
Minimum of two (2) years of experience using QuickBooks
Proven verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask, prioritize work and meet deadlines
Self-motivated, resourceful and dependable
Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams, including non-financial staff
Preferred
Experience with nonprofit accounting
Commitment to promoting cultural humility and social justice values
