This position offers an excellent opportunity for practical experience in civil litigation, focusing on case preparation, legal research, and drafting pleadings.

Responsibilities
Assisting in drafting civil complaints, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents under attorney supervision
Conducting research on statutes, case law, and legal precedents relevant to complex sexual assault cases
Supporting attorneys in organizing and analyzing case files, evidence, and client records
Preparing summaries, exhibits, and other materials for use in pleadings, depositions, or trial
Working closely with attorneys and other team members to ensure efficient case preparation and progress
Assisting with file management, document organization, and other tasks necessary to advance cases
Qualification
Required
Current enrollment as a 2L or 3L law student at an accredited law school
Prior experience with legal drafting through coursework, legal clinics, internships, or similar roles
Strong legal research and writing skills, with the ability to analyze and summarize legal issues clearly and concisely
Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Availability to work at least 20 hours per week in a hybrid environment
Preferred
Demonstrated interest in civil litigation and advocacy for survivors of sexual assault
