Commercial Paint Project Manager/Estimator

As a Commercial Paint Project Manager/Estimator, you will manage and estimate commercial painting projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities
Utilize your experience and knowledge to accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for commercial painting projects
Prepare detailed and competitive bids based on project specifications, drawings, and other relevant documents
Oversee all aspects of commercial painting projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Provide regular updates on project progress, address concerns, and ensure client satisfaction
Implement and maintain strict quality control measures to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations
Enforce safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all project personnel. Conduct regular safety inspections and address any safety concerns promptly
Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing for materials and services. Negotiate contracts and oversee subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to project requirements
Monitor project budgets closely and identify potential cost-saving opportunities. Take proactive measures to control costs and maximize profitability
Manage change orders effectively, assessing the impact on project scope, schedule, and budget, and communicating changes to all relevant parties
Maintain accurate and detailed project documentation, including contracts, change orders, RFIs, submittals, and progress reports
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial painting project management and estimation
Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, Planswift, or similar tools
Strong knowledge of painting techniques, materials, and equipment
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, team members, subcontractors, and other stakeholders
Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams to achieve excellence
Ability to identify issues, develop creative solutions, and resolve conflicts in a timely and efficient manner
Keen attention to detail and accuracy in estimation, budgeting, and project documentation
Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and foster positive working relationships
