Responsibilities

Manages maintenance employee outcomes by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining associates. Communicates job expectations, planning, monitoring, and appraising job contributions, and recommends compensation actions, adhering to policies and procedures
Leads maintenance operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, customer-service, safety, security, and health standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements
Evaluates systems and equipment performance by conferring with operating departments; identifying problems and requirements
Keeps systems and equipment operating by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment
Ensures repairs on systems and equipment by managing the restoring, repairing, rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts
Improves systems and equipment performance by studying performance results; identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions, and additions
Works with other departments to help ensure the maintenance departments operating budget for labor, parts, and contracted services to support uptime targets while staying within approved spending levels
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to organization standards and policies, and to legal regulations; immediately addressing issues and alerting others regarding potential concerns
Prepares maintenance information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends
Contributes to maintenance and organization success by welcoming related, different, and new requests; helping others accomplish job results

Required

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5-7 years' manufacturing experience (high and low volume facilities preferred) or combination of education and experience
Minimum 5 years' experience in an industrial machinery troubleshooting capacity
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Supervisory role
Ability to read and interpret blueprints
Able to pass a crane certification test
Certified through the company to operate a crane

Preferred

Strong knowledge in the following: ERP, CAD, GD&T, CNC programming and schematics
Solid and extensive knowledge of manufacturing processes (stamping, assembly, forging, injection molding, etc.), automation, daily operations, material handling, quality criteria, safety and human resource issues
Strong background in maintenance disciplines; including, but not limited to, electrical, mechanical, pneumatics, hydraulics, welding, etc
Understanding of Kanban/Pull Systems, Quality controls, Visual Controls, Management by eye strategies, Conflict Resolution Strategies and Preventative/Predictive Maintenance programs
Strong leadership skills
Strong knowledge of maintenance operations, safety and quality requirements
Strong technical and mechanical know-how
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others; including, but not limited to, all levels of management, associates, contractors and/or customers
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong level of planning and organizational abilities; ability to multi-task
