This hands-on lead role involves working with high-value finished parts and includes responsibilities in finishing, inspection, packaging, and material movement, with a future growth path into a supervisory position.

Responsibilities
Perform final finishing on precision metal parts, including deburring, polishing, and visual inspection
Conduct final clean-up and quality checks on high-value finished products before shipment
Assist with packaging and preparation of finished goods for outbound shipments
Pick, move, and stage parts through the final phase of production
Handle parts carefully to protect quality, finish, and customer requirements
Receive incoming materials and verify accuracy against documentation
Prepare outbound shipments, including packaging, labeling, and staging
Support end-of-month shipping surges to meet customer delivery deadlines
Coordinate with operations to ensure parts are shipped accurately and on time
Act as a go-to lead on the floor, setting the standard for quality, pace, and organization
Learn internal processes and workflows with the expectation of increased ownership over time
Support future hiring and onboarding once headcount is added
Transition into a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor role as the team grows
Qualification
Required
Experience in a manufacturing, machining, or industrial environment
Hands-on experience with finishing, inspection, packaging, or material handling
Strong attention to detail and respect for handling high-value finished products
Willingness to be on the floor daily and lead by example
Comfortable working overtime when available (average ~10 hours/week, not mandatory)
Preferred
Prior experience as a lead, senior operator, or supervisor (formal supervisory experience not required)
Background in metal finishing, machining, or precision manufacturing
Experience supporting shipping and receiving operations in a production setting
