Responsibilities
Organizes and develops project team to execute specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, project design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and project inspection. Must be able to delegate
Technical Lead - Preparation of conceptual design and construction documents using Microstation/Geopak/OpenRoads and AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and preparation of investigative design reports and studies
Supervise the work of junior staff as well as maintain a hands-on role in the production of deliverables
Shows understanding of project team management, develops project scope of work, estimating manpower needs, prepare project schedules, and tracks project progress
Project coordination with in-house engineering, architects, environmental/planning and outside consultants
Reviews project design for general compliance with engineering principles, company standards, and customer contract requirements, and related specifications
Assures the project meets quality control and quality assurance guidelines
Trains/Mentors junior staff
Qualification
Required
At least 10 years of professional experience on a diverse range of projects
Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required
Registration as a licensed Professional Engineer
Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel, and various engineering software systems
AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Preferred
Design experience for site development projects and construction administration strongly preferred
Project Management experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Software expertise in: Civil 3D, GeoPak/OpenRoads, Bluebeam
Strong work ethic and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced setting
Seller/Doer - Develops and presents proposals to clients as well as executes the projects once received
Located locally
Experience/interest in mentoring, supervisor role and/or team leader role
Experience with federal projects is a plus
