Field Service Technician

ON.energy is building the power infrastructure that makes the AI era possible. They are seeking a Field Service Technician to support commissioning and services activities across Texas, ensuring compliance with safety procedures and coordinating with contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

Execute the actions as directed by the Director of Services to support commissioning and services
Assist in the monitoring and enforcement of compliance with safety procedures, standards of quality, and best practices
Report any identified field service risk appropriately to the Director of Services and other relevant stakeholder
Record/update/reassign/close any issues or work orders in ON.energy’s Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Generally always keep CMMS aligned with current project status
Supervise and coordinate contractors, vendors and ON.energy resources during commissioning and/or services phases of the project
Perform or assist with planned and unplanned maintenance activities
Support the coordination with energy dispatching to schedule and complete performance testing or schedule outages for services work
Support continuous improvement by documenting lessons learned and opportunities to increase efficiency
Travel to job sites to investigate and resolve (or supervise resolution of) issues as needed

Required

BS in Engineering or technical experience through the military
Ability to travel extensively (90%+) to project sites, ON.energy offices, or vendor/contractor office locations as necessary. Available to travel next day to projects across Texas via car or plane
2-5 years mechanical and/or electrical system commissioning or service experience
Understanding of electrical power systems, networking systems, communication systems, and SCADA systems
Strong focus and commitment to safety, quality, and risk management
Able to occasionally lift 25 – 50 lbs
Must possess valid driver's license
Fluent in English
Strong communication skills and professionalism
Team player that works and collaborates effectively in a team environment
Proficient with all MS Office products
Ability to work independently and adapt in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial setting
Able to obtain and maintain required certifications: NFPA 70E, OSHA 10 (or better), CPR

Preferred

Position location preference is in Houston, TX, but will consider West Texas. Relocation assistance may be available to the right candidate
