Qualdoc is seeking three experienced Structural Steel Erection Foremen/Leadmen to join their team. This role involves providing on-site leadership while performing the same tasks as Ironworkers, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Responsibilities

Provide on-site leadership including scheduling, manpower and equipment planning, supervision, and cost control support

Read specifications and blueprints to determine required materials, locations, and quantities

Verify vertical and horizontal alignment of structural steel members using precision tools (plumb bobs, lasers, transits, levels)

Hoist, connect, and bolt steel members into place per blueprints and supervisor instructions

Field-assemble steel frames, beams, columns, and girders

Cut, bend, and weld steel using appropriate equipment

Safely operate and maintain tools, lifts, and small equipment (welders, grinders, saws, hoists, etc.)

Train, direct, and evaluate crew members while ensuring safety, quality, and compliance with company policies

Conduct weekly site safety meetings and complete a 3-week look-ahead schedule

Participate in project meetings and maintain open communication with supervisors and project managers

Perform quality control inspections and enforce corrective actions as needed
