Responsibilities

Producing and purifying vitro transcribed RNA for biochemical and structural analysis
Characterizing RNA structure by electrophoresis and biochemical methods
Ordering reagents and preparing buffers for lab use
Preparing samples for cryo-EM studies (e.g., freezing grids)
Collecting and analyzing cryo-EM data (i.e., computational work)
Presenting at group meetings and journal clubs

Qualification

Molecular biology techniquesStructural biologyCryo-EMRNA biologyComputational skillsLab notebook maintenanceFollowing protocols

Required

Bachelors degree in biochemistry, chemistry, chemical engineering, or similar field
Substantial experience with molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, electrophoresis, DNA purification, protein expression and purification)
Experience following protocols
Ability to maintain an accurate and well-organized lab notebook

Preferred

Experience in: Structural biology
Experience in: Cryo-EM
Experience in: RNA biology
Computational/programming skills
